Want to develop your career in the music industry? Â The Music Matters Internship Programme will develop skills and provide valuable opportunities to gain experience in the sector.
The Internship will be a 6 month full-time, paid placement.

An internship is a paid, professional learning experience that offers meaningful, practical employment related to an individual’s field of study or career interest. It is a great way for an individual to gain experience and develop industry relevant skills.
Full time employment?
Yes, Music Matters interns will be employed on a full-time (typically 35 hours) contract for a duration of 6 months
Interns will receive appropriate employment rights and benefits, including National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage, holiday pay, national insurance contributions, and pension auto-enrolment as applicable.
How do I apply?
Create a Workplus account to access the internship opportunities.
You will be asked to create a profile containing your personal details, qualifications and written interview style questions.
You will then select the internship opportunities you wish to apply to and asked to provide a 200 word explanation as to why you wish to undertake each internship opportunity.
Employers will then receive your application, shortlist and ask successful applicants to interview.
When do internships start?
A start date in February or March will be agreed between successful applicants and the employer.
How will I be supported?
Music Matters employers are committed to your development and full training will be given.
The Music Matters team will do regular check-ins with both you and the employer to ensure you are being fully supported.
